Well, things are moving along here at a surprising pace, considering that we are on island time. Jenny and Phillip (and Ralph) have been here for about seven weeks and Amanda and Charlie (and Stitch) arrived just last week. Between roofs leaking like sieves and pigeons having babies in the attic and carpets being torn up and termite infestations, we have had our hands full! But the roofs are fixed, the carpets and termites are gone and the pigeons, well, they have been served notice and will be evicted for good once their babies are able to fly away. We are tearing down walls, planting every crop we can think of and enjoying the magic of Bimini. Our little community is getting stronger each day, and we are looking forward to inviting you all in for some amazing trips soon! We project being ready to open by July, and are now accepting bookings for group trips starting in August (just to be safe on the timeline). We also plan to have a grand opening celebration with discounted trips for individuals in early August, so let us know if you are interested in that, as space will be limited.
As crazy as it is here, knocking out walls and bribing contractors to show up and all the rest, we can't help but smile all day. It is so beautiful, so magical, such a dream come true for all of us. And whenever the frustrations get to be too much, we walk across the street to the beach and jump into the clear turquoise water, soft as silk, and let the ocean wash it all away!
